We fly to thy patronage,
O Holy Mother of God!
In an hour of tumult and fear,
when our spiritual homestead is shaken,
when the winds and waves of the world
attempt to wipe the sacred from our lands,
when the Faith of our Fathers is snatched from our hands
and orthodoxy gives way to error and pride,
we fly to thee, O Lady of Grace, O Mother of Mercy!

Obtain for us the loving gaze of thy Divine Son.
Present to Him our prayers and sacrifices,
that He may be pleased to bless and protect His flock,
which cries out like sheep now encompassed by wolves.
Despise not our petitions in our necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O ever glorious and blessed Virgin Mary.
